VELFAC SUN - Solar protection
VELFAC SUN glass is designed to reduce solar gain and glare, and is normally used in South- or West-facing façades with large window sections, such as schools and office buildings.
The glazing reflects up to 60% of the heat from the sun, but it allows plenty of natural light to enter the room.

There are various types of solar control glazing:
VELFAC Sun SKN176 has a neutral colour coating, which is very close to the appearance of standard glass, and delivers a natural internal finish and a clear view of the external environment.
The other glazings have a coating, which is a little darker in colour and therefore offer greater protection against unwanted solar gain. Although the coating remains very transparent, the colours of the external view will be slightly affected.
Definition of energy values

Direction of the arrows indicates whether the heat coming from the outside and closed in, or whether it comes from within and escape.
